Welcome to my restaurant management blog. This is intended to try and help anyone from restaurant owners to the managers that take care of things while they are away. I intend this site, more specifically, to aid the small restaurants that are everywhere in the world in the processes that they use to make decisions on a daily basis. If I am able to help larger restaurants or their managers come up with new systems to make their lives easier then that’s fantastic as well.
Ensuring that we are able to get guests in our restaurant and take care of them, feed them, and see them on their way is our primary goal. This requires an unwavering attention to detail and a near obsessive attitude about your guests. Many managers have this part down or at least will develop a similar mindset in time. Time must be found to do all the other thousand things that make up running a restaurant. While not perfectly accurate I still like to refer to this time as “between tables.”
